The EPA released new regulations for Worker Protection Safety on January 2nd, 2017 . All pesticide applicators must comply to the new guidelines this year.
What is Worker Protection Safety?
Worker Protection Safety is an EPA mandated course that pesticide employers must give yearly. The purpose of the training is to inform and protect handlers and workers. WPS requires:
- All pesticide workers and handlers to be formally trained every year
- Employers to provide documentation of training to employees
- Employers to keep track of training records
- All training to be done with EPA approved materials
Certified Training Institute is in the final stages of releasing a course that meets each of the EPA requirements in a convenient package that is easy to use and affordable for pesticide application businesses. Stay tuned for more details.
