Mississippi Certified Applicator Exam Prep Program (Online Video Package)

The Mississippi Department of Agriculture has approved this recertification program as the first and only online video recertification program that fulfills the requirements for private applicator license renewal. This program covers all major topics in the National Pesticide Core Standards Manual and will provide you with everything you need to know to maintain your certification as a licensed private pesticide applicator. Certificates are available immediately upon course completion, and we submit your course completion to the state for you.

Recertification will be granted to private applicators who complete the program.

State Requirements

How do I get my Mississippi pesticide applicator's license?

Commercial Applicators Certification –

  • Step 1 – You must be 18 years or older
  • Step 2 - Complete an application and send it to the Bureau of Plant Industry

Private Applicator Certification:

  • Step 1 – You must be 18 years or older
  • Step 2 – Complete an application form

Do I need continuing education to maintain my Mississippi pesticide applicator's license?

Private Applicator licenses must be renewed every 5 years, commercial licenses must be renewed every 3.  Individuals seeking renewal must obtain 12 Credit Hours of continuing education.

Renewal Cycle: Annually

Renewal Deadline: 1 year from the date of issuance.

Who submits my course completion to the state?

Applicators must submit their own CE for the state of Mississippi.

Does the State of Mississippi offer reciprocity with other states?

Mississippi offers reciprocity for commercial certification.  Licensees will need to complete a Reciprocity Form and attach a copy of the front and back of their commercial certification card from their state of residence.
