How do I get my Mississippi pesticide applicator certification?

Commercial Applicators Certification...

  • Step 1 – You must be 18 years or older
  • Step 2 - Complete an application and send it to the Bureau of Plant Industry
  • Step 3 – Pass the General Standards exam and one category exam with a score of 70% or higher. Click here for more information about our Exam Prep Course!

Private Applicator Certification:

  • Step 1 – You must be 18 years or older
  • Step 2 – Complete an application form

Do I need continuing education to maintain my Mississippi pesticide applicator's license?

Private Applicator licenses must be renewed every 5 years, commercial licenses must be renewed every 3. 

Who submits my course completion to the state?

Applicators must keep track of their own training records for the state of Mississippi.

Does the State of Mississippi offer reciprocity with other states?

Mississippi offers reciprocity for commercial certification. Applicators will need to complete a Reciprocity Form and attach a copy of the front and back of their commercial certification card from their state of residence.
