What continuing education do I need to renew my Tennessee architect license?
Tennessee architects must complete 24-hours of continuing education, 13 of which must address health, safety, and welfare issues. Architects Training Institute offers a Tennessee approved online 24-hour continuing education package complete with the required 13-hours of health, safety, and welfare. Classes are available 24/7 on any internet capable device with the benefit of our friendly support staff to guide you through your renewal process. The state does not require proof of education at the time of renewal, however, licensees must keep certificates for two years in the case of an audit. Architects Training Institute will store your certificates for up to 6 years at no extra cost.
When does my Tennessee architect license expire?
Tennessee architect licenses expire 2 years after the date of issuance at the end of the month, which means, if you were licensed on September 12, 2015, your license expires September 30, 2017.
What happens if I miss my Tennessee architect renewal deadline?
You will be charged an additional $10 each month. For example, if your license expired March 31st and you renew your license June 30th you will be charged $170, or $140 +$10 for each of the three months after expiration.
