The Texas Real Estate Commission has streamlined and expedited the application process for service members and their spouses applying for a real estate license.
- Qualifying individuals will first need to determine if they want to be an Agent, a Broker, or an Inspector.
- Complete an application for the desired license
- Attach the Supplemental Form for Military Service Members, Military Veterans, and Military Spouses
- Base application and examination fees will be waved if
- Your service, training, or education meets requirements for a license
- You hold a current license from another jurisdiction with equivalent requirements
- You held the license within the last 5 years
- Provide fingerprints for a background check
- Pass the written examination
- You may request to have your military education, experience, or training evaluated for licensing credit
