Pest Control Practices in Residential, Industrial & Institutional Structures | California SPCB Approved

Instructor: Sarah Racine

Many pests can inhabit structures and cause various forms of damage. They can damage structural elements like wood, furnishings, and fabrics, infest stored food or other items, and cause significant economic losses. Some pests spread disease-causing organisms that can harm humans, while others can inflict painful bites or stings. Additionally, weeds can create safety issues and harbor other pests, while nuisance pests can contaminate products and lead to legal concerns in commercial areas.

To effectively manage these pests, pest managers must use safe, and economical methods. This Structural Pest Control Board-approved course will teach several pest control techniques that minimize risks to people and the environment.

By completing this course, participants can identify effective practices for managing pest populations, properly inspect, monitor, and trap pests, understand the importance of treating weeds, apply various pesticide formulations, and identify common food pests and how to manage them.
