Pests infiltrating structures can cause costly property damage, and some spread diseases or inflict painful bites. Weeds also pose problems by providing a breeding ground for pests and diminishing the structure's appearance. This course teaches agricultural past managers safe, efficient, and economical pest control methods focusing on safety for individuals and the environment.

After completing this Georgia Department of Agriculture approved course, pest managers will know how to:

  • Develop effective pest management strategies.
  • Implement proper inspection and trapping techniques.
  • Recognize the negative impact of weed damage.
  • Select and apply pesticide formulations.
  • Identify and manage common food pests.
